Although they’re a power tool capable of exacting a great deal of cutting force when activated, there is no blade guard covering the blade like other power tools.
So, you want to make an effort not to let your hand get anywhere close to the blade when the tool is in action.
If the tool is not in use, remove the battery so you don’t accidentally turn it on. And keep it in place safe from the reach of children, so they don’t play with it.
Lastly, the blade can be replaced when it gets dull, and that can be done pretty easily.
