Most pressure washers come with a few standard accessories you need to start washing and getting your clean-up projects going.
But if you really want to take your cleaning projects to the next level, you still need a few more accessories and attachments that will upgrade your pressure washer, making it a lot more easier for you to wash away dirt and grime with it.
These accessories will not only make your cleaning projects easier, but they’ll also cut down the amount of time it takes you to wash and clean surfaces significantly.
Allow me to introduce you to 7 pressure washer accessories that will drastically reduce the amount of effort and time you spend washing your driveways, walkways and every other areas of your home.
Surface Cleaner

This is arguably one of the most significant accessories you can get in addition to your pressure washer that will make washing any flat surface like your floors, walkway, driveways, patio and any other floor areas around your home a whole lot easier and faster.
You also use a lot less water when you use a surface cleaner attachment instead of just blasting water at floors with a tiny nozzle.
Instead of a single nozzle, the surface cleaner spreads the pressure of the water through several nozzles across a wide area, so you clean a wider part in just one sweep.
It also helps eliminate streaks left by single nozzles on the surface you’re washing.
Commercial-Grade Hose

Let’s face it, the hoses that come with most pressure washers are just trash. They’re short, they kink easily, and develop leaks easily, because they’re not built for heavy duty repeat use.
The truth is, most of these companies focus more on building a very good pressure washer machine, but they don’t really care much about the hose they include with it. They just throw in whatever hose they find and call it a day.
If you really want to get the best out of your pressure washer machine, one of the first things you need to do is to upgrade the hose that comes with it. Get a quality, commercial-grade hose that will not fail you in the middle of a job. Especially if you’re using it for commercial projects. You want a reliable hose, not the cheap stuff that comes with the machine.
Also, make sure the one you get is long, as from 50 feet and above so you can reach a very large area without having to move the machine all the time.
Quick Disconnect Kit

This is a must-have pressure washer accessory, unless your washer machine comes with one.
Quick disconnect connectors or couplers help you connect your pressure washer hose or garden hose to the machine or the hose to the wand within seconds.
You need this if your pressure washer doesn’t come with it. It’s going to save you a lot of time trying to connect the hoses and the wand to the machine all the time.
Extension Wands

As you can tell from the name, these extension wands help you extend the wand of your pressure washer so you can reach difficult areas easily.
For instance, if you’re cleaning your house siding, you don’t have to climb a ladder to reach higher areas, you can just attach an extension to the wand, make it longer, and you can reach the top areas easily.
This extension wand set even comes with 3 different curved extension rods, curved at 30, 90 and 120 degrees so you can reach even more difficult areas like inside the gutters of your roof, and the underside of a car without have to assume awkward positions.
Turbo Nozzle

This accessory have been around for a very long time, but I still recommend it till date because it simply works.
It’s called a turbo nozzle, and what it does is it simply rotates the jet of water coming from the nozzle in a circular spiral pattern.
This rotation adds more agitation and force to the surface you’re cleaning, widens the spray pattern a little bit more and makes it a lot easier for the dirt and grime on the surface to get knocked off.
Undercarriage Washer – Water Broom

This is called an undercarriage washer or water broom. It’s designed for washing under low areas that you cannot reach easily like under your cars, truck, lawn equipment like riding mowers, and so on.
You simply attach it to the pressure washer wand using the extension that comes with it, and the water sprays out through three separate jets, which you can then direct under whatever you’re trying to clean.
If you operate any kind of offroad vehicle, driving through muddy waters and such, this is a very important attachment you need to have.
Pressure Washer Pump Protector

This is anti-freeze for your pressure washer. This will come in handy during the winter season when everything freezes over.
Water expands when it freezes. That means you don’t want any water left in your pressure washer pump. If there’s any water left in the pump, it’s going to freeze, expand and damage it.
This Sta-Bil pump protector ensures that does not happen. Before storing your pressure washer for the winter, simply connect the Sta-Bil to your pump inlet, and spray it through until you see foam come out through the pump outlet that connects to the wand.
That will ensure the pump doesn’t freeze over and it’s still in good shape for use once the winter months are over.
